Revival …
“the action of reviving something after decline or discontinuance; restoration to general use, acceptance, popularity, etc.; restoration or return to life or consciousness” (Oxford English Dictionary)
- We started meeting in spring 2018, following reports that the Pump Room had been temporarily closed without notice. Originally a sub-committee of Friends of Pittville, we have been an independent association since November 2019.
- Building on the success of the outdoor Heritage Cafe and the associated events programme during 2020, we believe it’s time the Pump Room had a new lease of life as Cheltenham’s heritage focal point.
- Cheltenham’s most important heritage building should be preserved, developed, interpreted and promoted in a way that reflects its Grade I listed status; and visitors should enjoy the very best customer experience in line with The Cheltenham Trust’s Customer Charter.
